California trip 2015

I wanted to record some memories from our trip to California in February.

Kids did will on the flight, although holding a 32 lb toddler for hours on your lap is quite a challenge.

We were able to visit with my sweet grandfather who is nearing 100 years old, and his lovely wife. I think it is so special that the kids are able to know these incredible people.IMG_8218IMG_8210IMG_8236

The kids were all about early, early wake ups, so we were the first ones at the “baby beach” and the kids loved the very cold water, and playing in the sand. Clara called the calm water in the harbor the “deep blue sea” while the title “ocean” was reserved to the beaches with crashing waves.

Such as this one. IMG_8243

We had a great day at the incredible San Diego zoo. Although every time “Diego” was mentioned, Clara wondered where Dora and baby Jaguar were.IMG_8249IMG_8265

Big fans of the petting zooIMG_8279IMG_8328

It was such a special treat to have Aunty Kat stay with us!

This little man was very very happy crawling into the “deep blue sea”

We and eating sand.IMG_8303

We found a childrens museum “Prentend City” where there was a whole little town to play in, with grocery store, doctors office, and garden, among other things to play with. Very fun despite the crowds of children touching everything and we didn’t get sick, yay!

Best part of the trip was the company. Hugh and his Godfather, uncle MattIMG_8297

And Clara and Nana on the same side of the screen! Wonderful times. IMG_8355Thanks for the great visit Nana and Papa!

About Amy

Wife, mom, daughter, sister, aunt, Godmother, all those good things any many more. Crafter, extrovert, life-long-learner just for the fun of it, when my 4 little (and not so little) babies give me the chance for anything beyond keeping them fed and clean and our lives relatively calm and peaceful.

What special memories! I’m so glad you guys could vacation together as a family and with the kiddos at a young age—seeing their excitement. The beach looked like so much fun. I miss the beach so much right now! Living in Texas certainly isn’t bad when it comes to cold weather, but I’m still tired of it nonetheless!

I'd love to hear from you!
