One Month with a Son

One Month with a Son

Somewhere between February 28th and March 1st, Hugh was officially a month old.
The little guy has gained weight, a lot of it, he’s 14 lbs 14 oz now (at 5 weeks)
He’s grown in length and circumference and every other possible direction he can. Unfortunately he is battling his first cold right now, and a bad case of baby acne. But he continues to be a joy of a baby. Not to much of an early riser, he generally sleeps later than his sister in the morning, and when he is sleeping its in great big 3 or 4 hour chunks at a time through the day and night, and going right back to sleep after a quick feed in the mid-night wakings. He is kind enough to time one of his naps or quiet peaceful times with the time each day I have to put Clara down for her nap. Although he’s a bit fussy at dinner time by 8:30 or 9 he’s calm and ready to give his parents some much needed rest and quiet time. And he stays down for the night.
I will have to write more about the thrill of a son and the joy that has been my experience of having two children so far!

About Amy

Wife, mom, daughter, sister, aunt, Godmother, all those good things any many more. Crafter, extrovert, life-long-learner just for the fun of it, when my 4 little (and not so little) babies give me the chance for anything beyond keeping them fed and clean and our lives relatively calm and peaceful.

I love the giant measuring stick! What a cute idea!

Thanks! I made it awhile ago to measure the littles heights as they grow, my grandma had a wall in her house with everyone’s names pencilled on for years and years and I loved it! But since we are renting, we can take this portable piece of wall with us where ever we go! But I thought it would be cute to include in his monthly pictures too!

  2. He’s adorable and it’s a blessing that he is such a good baby and sleeps well! Definitely looking forward to a post on how life is with two babies! I can’t wait to start my own family!
